Earlier this spring, I spent a few quiet days at Gather — a retreat for women in photography hosted by Alix Gould. It was held at Cruickston Park, a historic estate tucked away in Cambridge, Ontario.

This retreat wasn’t about being perfect. It was about remembering why we create in the first place. And being in a space that celebrates queer love, creative women, and storytelling that lingers? That felt really special.
One of the highlights was photographing two brides in the middle of wild florals and soft, golden light. Everything about it felt slow, intentional, and real. No big production—just honest connection and beauty that didn’t need to try too hard.
